Make sure your child is identified with a medical ID from American Medical ID. Our “Build Your ID” process enables, you and your child to work together to design a medical ID that best fits your child’s lifestyle.
If you are looking for an adjustable ID, we recommend our Stainless Steel Bracelet with Curb Chain Style A. Curb Chain Style A allows for links to be removed and added as your child grows. For a child involved in outdoor and physical activities, we recommend our durable Stainless Steel Classic Bracelet, Necklace or Sportband. If a necklace best fits your child’s needs, our Heart Charm, Classic, Pendant and Dog Tag necklaces are ideal selections.
To make your child’s ID more noticeable, select a round or hex shaped Alert Charm in red or blue. (Charms not available for Sportbands and not engraveable)
As you build your medical ID, here are a few helpful hints:
Sterling Silver, 10Kt Gold-Filled, 10Kt and 14Kt Gold are all precious metals. If you have a toddler or extremely active child, we recommend a durable Stainless Steel medical ID. Precious metals are soft and tend to scratch easier.
When measuring your child for a bracelet, make sure the fit is a little snug. A snug fit helps preserve engraving by preventing your medical ID from freely moving around and potentially coming in contact with hard surfaces.
Our Sportbands can be adjusted down in size for a best fit.
If your child is crawling, place all important information on the underside of the medical ID bracelet. This will help protect the engraved information from coming in contact with the floor.
Make sure the medical ID bracelet plate is placed on top of the wrist when using a computer mouse/keyboard. This will protect the engraving from rubbing on the hard desktop surface. |
