The first bracelet had to be returned as the ’gold’ came off the disc within days of purchase. You sent it back but it was very shabby in a short time and I stopped wearing it. My second one, I decided to get a 14ct gold, has the same problem. I noticed the same problem on the second day. I have come to the conclusion that you cannot wear them all the time but that is what they are for surely. As I wear only yellow metal or gold I do not see the point of purchasing any of your other ones. I will not be bying any more from your company. Very disgusted customer.

Tue Jun 29, 2010: I am satisfied with the accuracy and speed of the workmanship and delivery of the bracelet. My first impression is that the gold is quite thin and will probably not last very long. I am an elderly person, and the clasp is definitely not user friendly. (smile) It took an hour for me to attach the bracelet to my wrist, therefore, removing and re-attaching is a problem. Overall impression - I’m not happy with my selection. I will probably choose another style in the future.

The closure on the top is a little sticky, and the paper should just have space for me to write whatever I need instead of such specific categories. Also a couple extra sheets would be really great. I needed to get the bracelet resized at a local jeweler because I have a small wrist. Other than that its wonderful.

I do NOT however, like the style of the lobster claw clasp It is VERY difficult to use. In the long run, I ’m happy I inadvertantly ordered my bracelet too big, now I don ’t need to undo the clasp (It ’s just cumbersome to hold and squeeze with your fingers, and still allow enough room to hook the link onto the clasp.) You ’d laugh if you saw how frustrated my husband gets when I need his help with it. (c;

Second bracelet purchased though special offer is athletic cloth band. A good deal. but the metal info area is too wide for my small wrist. Perhaps I should have purchased a youth or child size. Delivery was speedy, as I upgraded to expedite. Web site very friendly. I have recommended you to friends.

Mon Jul 05, 2010: the bracelet is very nice. no complaints. the only problem i had was i accidently ordered the wrong size i measured my own wrist and apparently did it wrong. when i called you told me it would be no problem to add links but it would cost me another 20.00 dollars. after just spending over 70.00 dollars it was a little hard for me to send you another 20. unfortunatley before i could send you the money my kidney failed and i am no longer immunosuppressed. so now i have a bracelet that doesn’t fit that i no longer need.

Sun Jun 27, 2010: I am really not pleased with this purchase. I ordered a 7 double curb bracelet. The total length is closer to 6 1/2 than 7 . The double curb is unlike any double curb I’ve ever seen. The links aren’t doubled, but staggered. This gives the bracelet the appearance of having loose links where the chain is joined to the clasp and the bar, and a total of 4 on a 6 1/2 bracelet makes this very noticeable.

I ’m concerned about it scratching and being unreadable which is what happened withy previous stainless steel bracelet (from another company). We ’ll see how this holds up. Is there such a thing as an indestructable bracelet that ’s attractive for women?

The only complaint is the you cannot get the necessary info on the classic bracelets or necklaces. I was able to get the info on the stainless steel bracelet I purchased. The claw was also placed on the wrong end of the stainless bracelet and is extremely difficult to put on by myself.

It ’s awkward for my fingers to use it, but I am getting better at it with practice. A few times when i wfirst got it, I gave up trying to put it on, because after many tries I couldn ’t get it on. Had a similar problem taking it off. had to get my sewing glasses to see what I was doing to get it off.

The only problem is I had to send it back for links and I spoke to a service rep on the phone about the links and she didn ’t let me know that the payment had to be sent back in the envelope with the bracelet. I had understood that the card on file would be charged. I originally had the order rushed. I called to follow up about the new links and why it was taking so long and the lady told me it was on hold because I did not enclose the payment. I don ’t understand why anyone would not contact me to discuss it with me instead of just sitting on the order for two weeks.

The only other thing was that the ink was light compared to the metal and was therefore hard to read for the wearers and ourselves. A darker ink might be helpful. Tue Jul 20, 2010: I was able to put the maximum words and phone numbers and medicine strengths, my name, phone, the names and phone numbers of my GP, heart doctor, and heart surgeon, the words to identify that I experience HEART SPASAMS, and have had heart bypass surgery, the things that I am allergic to including TAPE, IODINE, and ALL SHELL FISH. I was able to put my husband’s name and cell phone number, strenth of aspirin, Lipitor, and NITRO PATCHES. Most important, I was able to show EMS or hospital employees that I CANNOT wear the Nitro patch 24 hours a day or I will be come immune to it. I can only wear the Nitro patch 1/2 of the time every 24 hours so I showed it on the bracelet as Nitro Patch 0.2 mg NIGHT ONLY. The heart spasams cause an artery in my heart to close (leads to heart attacks), but the nitro patches keep my arteries and veins DILATED AND MORE OPEN. This is important to my survival. My bracelet will be helpful when the ambulance takes me to a hospital.

I am wearing my old one with just Diabetes shown on it wtih a multi colored bead band . I probably will redo this band with clear crystals so that it can be worn with everything. It was also ordered from your company, but the dark writing was instantly legible and lasted for the 4 1/2 years that I constantly wore it. I only replaced it to update the information. I am concerned that the need to tilt this one just right to read it not only will take longer in an emergency, but could result in a fatal error. I do like the upgraded chain on this bracelet and the claw clasp which is easier for me to maneuver. I also like that the length did not have to be adjusted.

I ordered myself a sterling silver med alert bracelet which is engraved into the metal (an improvement over the 5 childrens) but all 6 are already scratching off after a couple of weeks.

I suggest soldering those 2 loops closed so they don’t snag on fabric. Also I like the new nylon band med i.d. bracelets. However the buckle should be curved, not flat. I replaced the flat one with a curved one that I had on hand.

I have small wrist and was able to change my order to the somewhat smaller band. I do with there had been a smaler option say 1 long. I think that would have fit me better.

The links and clasp are very well made, not cheap like other brands. Cheaper-made bracelets scratched my son’s wrist and arm, this one did not. I have purchased other medical ID bracelets in the past and this one by far exceeded my expectations. I will be shopping with American Medical ID again. Thank you.

Fri Jun 25, 2010: I thought the Charm for my bracelet was bigger and stand out more. The bracelet it self was bent and did not fit properly on my wrist. The lettering should have been Black bold instead of a yellowish gold as you cannot see the information very well and does not stand out. The reason for a medical alert bracelet is to stand out to others and know that you have a medical condition that would need attention immediately. Your Bracelets needs some work to improve the quality and higher alert standards even on the lower grade styles. I was disappointed in what I received and quality I got for the price I paid.
