Would much prefer to see a ss split ring over the open link. Why on earth you don’t support the ampersand @ is a mystery. Tue Dec 18, 2012: I like the shape of the dog tag style, it allows more space for information than the smaller tags. The only problem with the tag is that the ring which hold the tag ob the chain seperated and the tag fell off. I replaced it with a small split ring and it is now more secure.

Although not waterproof, afraid that just getting a bit wet from rain, sweat, etc will ruin it. The seams don’t appear tight (ie. should have small gasket. However, I am wearing it with my info on it.

I like the concept and believe the dog tag could provide good safety net information if needed, for any care givers who are equipped to use the flash drive in the field. However, I found the flash drive connector mechanism of much poorer quality than the standard flash drive. It was difficult to keep the sliding connector from retracting when trying to connect to the computer. The connector should lock in the out position, and it seems generally flimsy and vulnerable to damage when in the out position. I would strongly recommend upgrading the sliding connector.

This is an excellent product I can scan the labs that I get from the doctor straight from my printer and save them on the dog tag, I can have the most recent labs available for the doctor each visit (I have a primary physician and also receive treatment through the VA). What kept it from being a 5 rated product? They should include dog tag silencers with the product, I wear this under my shirt there can be a bunch of body gunk that can effect the terminal. Being retired military, I went to the BX and purchased a set of 4 for 0.45 Things to check for before you buy the USB dog tag (1) are you or someone able to keep the information up to date? (2)is your doctor able to read this device - sounds stupid huh? A VA doc cannot just plug in a USB drive into their computers - they can be fired for doing so, many hospitals do not have a computers with active USB ports all of this for security purposes. Check with your ER and doctor before laying out the big bucks for this device.

I chose the chain that was a constant chain. Unfortunately, the chain is more like a choker on me. I am a BIG guy. I called customer service and the lady was very kind and helpful. She sent me the longest beaded chain she had. It is also too short. I think it was a 27 chain. Is there any way I could get a 37 -40 chain from you? It is almost like a step was skipped in manufacturing. I will have to take a file or sandpaper to it, which is something I should not have to do. Sat Dec 31, 2011: I chose the USB flash drive tag and a regular SS Dogtag for use in/on the water. Engraving is rather light, but it is readable, if the lighting is good. The USB unit could use a wire loop attached, so it lies flat on my chest. In this area the emergency room has never seen this e-Tag and don’t have a proceedure in place to actually use it. They need some education. If something is not in the all powerful PROCEEDURE its not going to be done. How about an educational pamphlet for them?
